Since our last article on salmonella we have continued to have cases of Salmonella hindmarsh confirmed and as shown in the Southland Times, other areas are experiencing big losses, higher than other years.
As stock start moving onto crops or with break feeding this means we may see more cases occurring. If you are noticing any problems in your stock please contact us at the clinic to talk to a vet.
Just be aware that there are other causes eg high larval burdens, listeria, pneumonia, crop problems etc that can cause scouring or sudden death too.
