The app will:

• Track the withholding period for each cow being treated;
• Set calendar reminders for farmers and their milkers for when cows can go back into supply and;
• Personalise their treatment regimes and milking periods.

Several factors must be considered when choosing a mastitis treatment. They include the time of season, timing of treatments, the bacteria involved, withholding periods, the severity of the mastitis, once or twice a day milking, whether an initial or repeat case and the age of the cow.
